Electrician in Waltham Abbey
Waltham Abbey is a short drive west of Buckhurst Hill through Epping Forest, on the edge of the Lea Valley, with its old town centre gathered around Waltham Abbey Church. We cover all of EN9, from the historic streets to the newer estates and the farms and nurseries on the outskirts, for emergency callouts and planned work.
Homes in Waltham Abbey
Waltham Abbey has some of the oldest buildings in our area around the church and the town centre, which is a conservation area, and some are listed, so electrical work there needs a light touch. Away from the centre, much of the town is post-war housing, including large estates of houses and flats, alongside more recent developments. Older buildings call for careful, sympathetic work, while post-war homes commonly need a fuse board upgrade or partial rewire as original circuits age. Landlords with property here need regular EICRs as well.
Epping Forest District, Essex. Postcodes EN9.
Urgent electrical faults
Emergency help with power loss, tripping circuits, burning smells and water in fittings, with the fault traced and made safe.
Work in older buildings
Careful wiring in period and listed buildings, planned to avoid unnecessary damage to historic fabric.
Landlord EICRs
Electrical condition reports for rented houses and flats, with clear results and remedial work quoted if required.
Post-war partial rewires
Replacing tired circuits in post-war houses and flats without rewiring everything, where testing shows that is enough.
